I had the opportunity to shoot some photographs for my coworker, Rachel and her beautiful family!  Her kids are just a delight- all three of them.  I was so impressed with the smiles I received as it was a 95 degree, humid, and windy day (a GREAT combination for pictures!).  We didn't venture too far from our original location downtown due to the heat- however, this area had some inspiring backdrops!  Such a fun family!  I also took some photographs of Alex for his senior photos...those will appear in my next blog...stay tuned!

East Silent Resort Vacation 2013

Every summer my family comes up to our resort, East Silent Resort, for a week.  This was our 4th summer -- it's so crazy how much my niece and nephews change every year.  I notice that as I look through photographs from the previous year, how much they change year to year.  This year was really fun (and physically exhausting!) to watch my sister's youngest, Oliver, run all over the place!  Last year he couldn't walk while we were there...this year he was a wild man! :)  My brother, best known as "uncle Mike", usually makes the trip from California, but unfortunately couldn't make it this year.  So we were without someone who was willing to entertain the kids by doing flips off of the trampoline -- luckily, the kids made a lot of friends and there were plenty of other things to grab their attention!  It's also great for me to be able to enjoy my family and my in-laws for a week -- I don't get to do that often enough! The trip was a blast and we're already counting down to next year...I think 346 days to go :)  Enjoy the pics!

The Hattan Family- at East Silent Resort

My husband, Andy, and his family have owned a lake resort in Northwest Minnesota called East Silent Resort for the past 7 years. I don't get to go up as much as I would like to during the summer, but when I do, I love it! Not only of course to hang out with my hubby and my in-laws, but to snap some photos in the summer light with the lake as my background.  I was able to take some pictures of this beautiful family over the 4th of July (notice the American flags!).  These girls were too cute to pass up.  Thanks Meredith and Jamie!  

Ryan & Megan Zigler June 22, 2013

Soon after I attended the Photography Workshop, I had a great opportunity to do some wedding photos!  Megan is my sister-in-law's sister.  I had such a blast photographing this beautiful couple!  There was like an 80% chance of storms and everything was outside, so we were all a bit worried.  It ended up being a beautiful day, sunny and warm, we couldn't have asked for better weather.  

Ryan and Megan chose to have an outdoor ceremony in a park near Andover, MN.  The reception followed at the Zigler's house.  I couldn't have imagined a prettier set-up- a candle-lit evening with beautiful pink peonies and about 150 of their closest family and friends.  Here are some photos from their day....
